ahead. I feel like the recent redesign is the kitchen table of Ginger N' Roses. I am loving the new space and feel refreshed and excited to start producing lots of exciting new content. First though, I thought I'd give you all a little tour round the new digs:

Hello lovely people and welcome to my first post on the new site! It's amazing how much a change of space can do for your productivity and mindset. When I was at university I could sit for hours on my bed surrounded by all my books and absolutely nothing would get done. The moment I upended and moved to the kitchen table though, it was full steam

THE OFFICIAL BLOG TOUR

THE NEW HOMEPAGE

I wanted the new homepage to offer you a quick look at the latest posts and easy access to my main blog categories without following the traditional blog format. Use it to take a little glimpse into what content is waiting for you in the blog archives.

BEHIND THE BLOG

If you scroll down the homepage, I've updated my 'About Me' style page. The words are much the same, but the layout is  a bit more dynamic and I've added lots of pictures to help tell the story. If you're feeling particularly nosey go have a little peak!

THE BLOG SHELF

The last section of my homepage, right down the bottom, is a space for me to share all my favourite online reads. Here you'll find more than a link. You'll get an introduction, a sample of each beautiful Instagram account and some hand selected quality content.

All my posts and all my comments have followed me over to the new space (after many hours of 301 re-directs!) and you can see them in the traditional blog format by clicking the blog button at the top of the homepage. More coming soon so watch this space!

THE SHOPPING CART

THE VIRTUAL COFFEE SHOP

Back in June I introduced my first instalment of 'A Virtual Coffee' and to this date it remains one of my favourite pieces. With a long list of ladies that I would love to add to the series I dedicated a space on the new site to display the entire collection of posts.  Discover and fall in love with all my favourite bloggers or scroll to the bottom and join me for the next virtual coffee!

I usually have 3 or 4 different tabs open that are just online shopping carts that I have filled with every beauty item I could possibly want. I let them sit there and over time start to delete items that no longer tickle my fancy.  It's my drawn out way of curbing my spending habits, and I thought I'd replicate those checkout baskets here, just in case anyone was feeling particularly nosey.

THIS WEEKS BEAUTY ROUNDUP

This weekend has been been lovely and quite so this evening I am taking the opportunity to run myself a bath and indulge in some serious me time. I've got a little collection of nourishing and cleansing products that I will be putting to use. I think I can finally consider myself settled in to West Country life when my Sunday routine of roast and pamper is back in action.

BOURNEMOUTH EATS

Cafe Boscanova

This week I'm trading in my usual food diary for a snippet called Bournemouth eats. As I explore and get settled I thought I'd share some of my favourite eats and drinks just in case you ever find yourself round these parts.

Introduced to me by my new colleagues, this quirky cafe brings back all the Brighton feels and made me right at home. It has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent food (2 for 1 fry-ups), and as I've just discovered, great website hosting taste!

5 THINGS THAT MADE ME HAPPY THIS WEEK

  1. Pushing the new site live and getting all your lovely feedback, you are all too kind! Honestly, I have had the biggest smile all week!
  2. Driving home and successfully navigating my first roundabout.
  3. Booking tickets for my first Christmas back home in 4 years. Can it be the holidays now please?
  4. Successfully upgrading from my old Samsung- new phone is en route!
  5. Purchasing the beautiful Country Living Modern Rustic magazine... although, this has not helped to reduce the amount that I research bathroom tiles.

Happy weekend, and I'd love to hear what everyone has been up to!
