Something has happened in the past few days and England is now decidedly nippy. To tell you the truth, I couldn't be more happy! This is the season of big scarves and rain boots. The season of hot drinks and pies. The season of changing leaves and holidays. October means Halloween, which means it can then be Thanksgiving... which means it's almost Christmas! The cold setting in officially marks the start of the holiday season and I am beyond excited! My dairy is full of little notes- costume ideas, thanksgiving plans (I'm cooking for 12 people this year- eek) and I've already got a little list of Christmas gifts to buy started... although that won't happen 'till a week before Christmas- earliest. I thought I'd inject a little of my autumn excitement round these parts with a berry inspired makeup look.
I decided to go heavy on the eyes and heavy on the lips, and after sporting this look for most of today I've decided I quite like it! Maybe a bit dramatic for everyday wear, but I can definitely see myself cracking this out again for an event or night out. I went for a semi-matte finish on the skin, a berry and brown slightly-smokey eye and my all-time favourite fall lip colour. It's a deep berry with a matte finish that just has autumnal written all over it. So here's to embracing the change of season!
